Since 1976, John C. Cassell, General Contractor has been specializing in whole house renovations and additions to older homes of Upper Northwest D.C., as well as Bethesda and Chevy Chase, MD. As a licensed, bonded, and insured company, we perform a variety of work from simple repairs to complete renovations and additions. Our specialty is replicating and honoring the character of the existing older home while incorporating your new design. Our customers rely on our quality workmanship to help bring their visions to reality.
What To Expect
With over 40 years of experience, our company can work with your architect or you can choose to use one of our architects on retainer. The architect and I will advise on design possibilities and develop a budget that meets your specifications. We will also advise you on how we will protect your home and family during the construction project.
If you choose us for your renovation, our Project Manager or I will perform daily supervision, and all main projects will have a lead carpenter on site during most of the work schedule. We use subcontractors alongside our own manpower, which allows us to stay on schedule and complete the jobs on a timely basis.
Job sites are kept clean at all times, and dust protection is used. We take extra care in separating work areas from existing home or play areas for children. We will have an open line of communication throughout the project.
Our focus is to build lasting relationships with our customers, which means we guarantee our workmanship well past the standard year. Our goal is to have you as a happy lifetime customer.
We operate our company within a tight working radius, encompassing the upper most portion of upper NW D.C., and Chevy Chase and Bethesda, MD. By working within this tight radius, we are able to provide better quality site supervision, customer service, and control our operating cost. Myself and/or David, our company Project Manager, can be at any job site within minutes instead of hours when needed.
Fully Licensed, Bonded & Insured
We are fully licensed in both D.C. and MD.
